The Beyblade World Championships 2025 officially revived the old-school spinning tops this year, sending a wave of nostalgia across the globe. And without missing a beat, Bangkok made its own mark with the first ever Beyblade X battle held inside a cannabis shop.

That battleground was Punch Out Dispensary, a cannamed social club in the heart of Bangkok; Sathorn district . The spot is known for blending cannabis culture with hobbies — board games, painting miniatures, assembling models, chess, Warhammer, you name it.

O, the budtender and Em, manager of Punchout are the ones holding the vibe together.
“มันคือความน่ารักของคอมมินิตี้ นอกจากกัญชาแล้ว เรามานั่งเล่นด้วยกัน เอาความเป็นเด็กออกมาอีกครั้ง”
This is the charm of the community. Beyond cannabis, we sit, play, and bring out the child in us again.
After one year, they celebrated their November anniversary. Punch Out has grown into a genuine safe space for people who love to get stoned and play again. A place where fun isn’t judged, where hobbies aren’t mocked, and where community feels like community.

How Punch Out Started
Punch Out’s concept came from the Thai team working closely with their European partners. They all shared a love for retro arcade (thus the name from 1987 Nintendo game Punch-Out!), cannabis culture and understood what they wanted: a space where adults could enjoy themselves without pretense, pressure, or the usual nightlife expectations.
Em, deeply rooted in Thailand’s hobbyist scenes, from Beyblades to Warhammer, has curated the space. Board games. Comic posters on the wall. A full snack bar. The best local ice creams. Cold sodas. Clean bongs. Comfort.

The first floor holds the premium flower counter — pick your strain, choose a bong. You’ll be able to grab names like Power Puff, legendary grower in Bangkok, and his Emergen C.
Head up to the padded lounge on the second floor and you’re met with walls of board games and low cushions waiting for you to sink into.
And for the creators? The top floor is built like a mini studio with long tables, bright lights, enough space for product shots or ongoing personal projects.
Spinning Tops and Sungrown Smoke

We spent the night launching Beyblades and watching reruns from the recent championship. Between rounds, we passed around Sub Zero, organic sungrown flowers from GanjaOutdoorCNX through the Stündenglass. It was the perfect combo that my younger self wouldn’t have thought possible.
After my final spin, I looked around the room and felt it, a space built by our own people, for our own people. A place that shouldn’t exist, but does, because someone cared enough to make it real.
I said my goodbyes to the boys, grateful for the kind of community we’re building here in Thailand.
A Growing Culture of Social Spaces

Besides Shanti and Culcanna, both bringing strong social-club vibes reminiscent of Barcelona, Punchout has carved out its own lane. It’s not trying to be anyone else. It’s one-of-a-kind, a hybrid of hobbies, childhood nostalgia, and cannabis culture.
That’s the beauty of this industry, we’re all different. We all want something different. And if you can’t find the space you belong in… create it.
